Song Lists: Cocteau Twins

cocteaus

Welcome to Part 2 of the St Andrew’s Day trilogy and also the second part of sorts to a SIMPLE MINDS trilogy (in that Cocteau Twins took their name from an early Kerr composition). Autumn is a particular purple patch for Cocteaus album releases with all but Victorialand and Milk & Kisses landing between September and November.

Here is a rudimentary list of ‘Cocteaus’ songs (I have included some of their work with Harold Budd). The tricky thing with them is not so much what language she’s singing in but what is or isn’t a bridge or a chorus! Anyway, as always I hope this is both interesting and thought provoking.

FOTZPOLITIC
KNOW WHO YOU ARE AT EVERY AGE
SERPENTSKIRT

WOLF IN THE BREAST
TISHBITE
UPS

ORANGE
